Family, dog and equine photographer near Abergavenny

Follow the River Usk down the valley from Abergavenny and, about 20 minutes later, you’ll reach The Cowshed. My studio is a converted barn beside Llancayo Windmill, with fields and trees right outside.
You and your horse
For most owners, a photoshoot with their horse happens once or twice in a lifetime, so it should take your breath away. I come to your yard for 3 hours, so nobody is rushed.
A planning call, a full preparation guide and a location visit before the day
Up to 3 outfit changes for you
A short session with your dog, if you’d like
Lead ropes and guiding hands edited out
Travel is included within 20 miles of Usk, which covers Abergavenny itself. Equine packages start at £565. See equine photography.
The family in one frame
Life fills up with school runs, muddy boots and photos where you’re the one holding the phone. A 60-minute family session gets everyone in the picture, up to 6 people or pets from one household. Come to the studio, stay outdoors at The Cowshed, or do both. See family photography.

Dogs, muddy or otherwise
I’ve had the privilege of a life with rescue dogs, so I know what these portraits mean. Bring the bouncy puppy, the dignified old gentleman or the rescue who has finally come out of their shell. See dog photography.

“Most importantly, Liz truly captured our dog’s personalities perfectly. These photos mean so much to us, and we’re so grateful to have such special memories to keep forever.”

Prefer a favourite place?
I can photograph you on location too. Early morning and the couple of hours before sunset give the softest light, and I’ll give you a quote that includes travel. If the Sugar Loaf or the Blorenge is your family’s place, tell me.
What it costs
Studio sessions start at £95 and packages start at £395, with everything agreed before you book. See all prices.
