This creative photography experience is about capturing the the magical innocence of childhood before it disappears. The skilled use of mixed lighting creates a soft, moody, slightly vintage feel in a modern setting, with further enhancement through hand editing. The resulting photographs are truly mesmerizing. Capturing the fleeting moments that define our lives, the laughter and innocence, is a true joy.

It's a privilege to see the world through a child's eyes and translate that perspective into timeless images that evoke emotion and touch the soul.

The session is 1 - 2 hours long (depending on the age of the child)

The session fee is £90 (£50 non returnable booking fee and £40 due 48 hours before the shoot).

Magical Childhood

How it works:

Step 1: Contact us to book your session. We will organise a pre-session consultation in which we will discuss clothing, your child's interests etc. We will also send you a link to the print packages and wall art available to you. To give you an idea, desktop prints start from £75, wall art from £270 and digital packages from £200.

Step 2: The photoshoot session. We will spend a little time letting your child feel comfortable in the studio and with Liz. This session uses continuous and natural light (not flash). We will create a number of poses inside and outside.

Step 3: After the session your photographs will receive careful hand editing and retouching. These photographs require more time and sophistication to give them the magical, timeless look we want to achieve. You will be invited back for a viewing and ordering session. You will be able to look at samples of our carefully chosen art products and we can discuss the options that suit you, your decor or the best gift options for others.

Frequently asked questions

What should my child wear?

During our pre-session consultation, we will talk about the outfits. It's important to go for a slightly vintage look, and we have a few dresses, braces, and caps available for you to use. If you want to buy something new, we can discuss what to look for. Just remember that the clothes should be in neutral tones and without logos, writing, or heavy patterns. The examples in the gallery should give you a good idea of what we're aiming for.

What if my child doesn't co-operate?

Every parents nightmare! Firstly we suggest that you do not put too much pressure on your child(ren) before you arrive. We know you want fabulous photographs, but a long list of do's and dont's is going to sew the seeds that they are going to have a horrible time before they get here. Liz was a teacher for over 20 years and is very adept at working with children. If your child is really having a meltdown then the best course may be to postpone the session and reschedule it one more time without extra cost. This is exceedingly rare.

What is the timescale for payments?

£50 non refundable booking fee is paid at the time of booking and the remaining £40 is due 48 hours before the photoshoot. The payment also confirms that you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

All print products must be paid for before they are ordered. This will be at the viewing and ordering session after your photographs have been hand edited. We can accept BACS and credit/ debit card payments at that session.
