Toddler Taming!
One of our favourite sessions with toddlers is an enjoyable dress-up session, where they can wear a vintage flying jacket and helmet, creating adorable and fun photographs. Props are used to make the experience even more engaging, capturing the joy of play in beautiful images.

Ok, so we do know that there's no such thing as toddler taming, but we are always up for a go!
Children grow up in the blink of an eye. The toddler years can be both challenging and delightful as their personalities start to emerge. It's fascinating to wonder where their life journey will take them. Toddlers are also some of the trickiest humans to photograph. We offer three experiences that are aimed specifically for them. By engaging them in play, we allow their curiosity to get the better of them personalities to come out. Oh and also keep them in one place!
These sessions are up to an hour and the session fee is £80 (£50 non refundable on booking with £30 balance due 48 hours before the session)

We get our own back on this one. Child and parent(s) arrive in cheap, but pristine white t-shirts.
Toddler first gets to paint a picture or two and then moves on to decorating the adults' t-shirts. We use washable paint (only because it is better for young skin). You'll be wanting a change of clothes for everyone!
2 - 4 years
Birthday cake smash anyone? We will supply the backdrop and you supply the destructive toddler and cake. The rest is just plain messy!

How it works:
Step 1: Contact us to book your session. We will organise a pre-session consultation in which we will discuss all the necessary details with you. We will also send you a link to the print packages, social media images and wall art available to you.
Step 2: Toddler photoshoots are usually very funny. The activity will be ready for you so there isn't any unnecessary waiting around. We will get your child used to the environment and lights before making a start. Lots of silly faces - usually from the photographer!
Step 3: After your session your photographs will receive careful hand editing and retouching. You will be invited back for a viewing and ordering session. Painting and cake sessions can be viewed on-line in a private gallery should you prefer. You will be able to look at samples of our carefully chosen art products and we can discuss the options that suit you, your decor or the best gift options for others. There will be no hard sell because it isn't in our nature.
Frequently asked questions
What preparation is needed?
We shall discuss this on the pre-session consultation, but keeping it as simple as possible with toddlers is best.
Vintage pilot photoshoot looks best if your child is wearing a plain natural coloured t-shirt (think beige, off-white, light blue) and beige, brown or navy trousers.
Banksy shoot requires cheap white, plain t-shirts for adults and child(ren) and looks really good if white trousers/ leggings or tights are worn too. If white bottoms aren't possible, then we suggest all of you wear similar coloured, plain trousers/leggings in a subdued colour or black. Please avoid prints, logos or writing. You will remove shoes and socks for the session, but you will want a clothes change, flannels and towels or wipes for afterwards!
Cake smash is a little more flexible, but we would still suggest a plain top. Dungarees, bow tie, flat cap - whatever your style is! You will also need to provide the cake.
What if my child has a tantrum?
Every parents nightmare! Firstly we suggest that you do not put too much pressure on your child(ren) before you arrive. Liz was a teacher for over 20 years and is very adept at working with children. If your child is really having a meltdown then the best course may be to postpone the session and reschedule it one more time without extra cost. This is exceedingly rare.
What is the timescale for payments?
The non refundable booking fee is paid at the time of booking. The payment also confirms that you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
All print products must be paid for before they are ordered. This will be at the viewing and ordering session after your photographs have been hand edited. We can accept BACS and credit/ debit card payments at that session.
What if my toddler has additional needs?
Not an issue at all. We will just build in a bit of extra time and adapt as necessary. We can make physical and sensory adaptations, e.g. use continuous lighting instead of strobes, avoid loud sounds or rough textures etc. We will find a way.
Access: The Cowshed is on one level with only slightly raised threshold, wide doors and a large toilet space with a frame available.
